Service Description
Course Description This course is the initial segment of a three-year Full-Time unaccredited Certificate Course in Inspirational Art. If you remain committed, this course will qualify you to teach the Inspirational Art curriculum as an associate of the Glastonbury School of Art. This course provides a unique perspective on creativity, addressing questions that typical public institutions often overlook while incorporating the essential aspect of our spiritual existence and our role as spiritual beings on this planet. We will utilize carefully crafted exercises that draw upon practices employed by professional artists for centuries, designed to engage not only our bodies and minds but also our souls in the creative process. The aim of this program is to gather and share insights from artists like myself and many others with the general public, circumventing the limitations posed by public institutions, galleries, and personal creative barriers. At this first part will give you an Introduction to Basic Drawing and Painting Techniques, a Presentation of the Physical and Spiritual Theories of Perspective, and the Use of Elements and Inspiration in Fine Art. The first year begins in September with an Introduction to Inspirational Art. We invite you to participate in a distinctive twenty-seven-day course tailored for beginners. This nine-month program, titled "Introduction to Inspirational Art," will occur over three days each month (two in the studio and one online), specifically on Fridays, and Saturdays, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM when working in the studio and Wednesdays, online from 11:00 AM to 13:00 PM. Classes will be held at the Glastonbury Art School studio. Attendance is limited to a maximum of six participants and includes a one-hour lunch break. We will start on Friday, September 18, 2026 and we will finish May 2027. The entire cost for the course is only £395 per person and is suitable for teenagers and adults only of all skill levels. The mediums covered will include graphite, charcoal, colour pencils, oil pastels, watercolour, and oils. Some materials and unlimited tea and biscuits will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring their own art supplies as well. Payment options include online, by phone, in cash prior to the workshop, or via bank transfer.
