"ARTS FOR HEALTH" Project

For centuries, art has often been used merely as a means to acquire wealth, social status, acceptance, and power—tools to control, deflect, and manipulate, along with many other ills in this world.

Artists seem to be losing sight of what was once a natural expression of our need to communicate, serve, help, participate, beautify, and harmonise. In doing so, we have silenced our hearts, denying them the voice to express our truths, values, and sense of adventure. Consequently, we risk becoming miserable, lonely, and fearful hoarders.

Artists worldwide have reached a pivotal moment where our everyday actions must contribute to something more meaningful than the superficial aspects of modern life, which are marked by endless consumption, isolation, and general indifference. We need to foster a sense of connection, purpose, and meaningful relationships with the Beauty and Life of this world.

WHAT IS ARTS FOR HEALTH?

"Arts for Health" is a pilot project aimed at incorporating the arts as a vital element in our lives to enhance well-being. It is designed to provide psychological support to all those whose lives have been affected by depression, anger, negativity, inactivity, failure, and fear.

The recalibration of the human mind and soul, particularly after being numbed by long-term habits and other unnatural behaviours, is crucial for the fundamental mission of every human being on the planet: to learn and practise love and service.

In various forms, art can serve as a valuable assistant, offering the user enhanced focus, dexterity, and a deeper respect and appreciation for creation, while also rekindling a connection with all of life.

Art is a very complex, intelligent, skilled, and inspired way to bring order to the chaos of life. The Philosophy, ideas, techniques, styles, and materials have been tested and mastered by bright individuals over thousands of years, and now they serve as a precious inheritance for all of us to use and share for the benefit of everyone.

Humanity has arrived at a very dangerous crossroads, and we are called to use what we have learnt from our chosen disciplines through the eons of time and break through the oppressive limitations.

Though Arts for Health isn’t art therapy with the strict official clinical psychotherapy meaning of the word, nothing has stopped all forms of art from being a hugely successful means to ease the pain of depression and calm aggression. Every type of artist has experience of this.

What we will do is provide you with skilled exercises and advice, stemming directly from our carefully gathered observations of various techniques and materials. I believe that many artists possess valuable insights that cannot be found in any artistic manual; rather, they emerge from years of personal experience, research, and inspiration.
