'Love' by Ioannis Antoniadis
'Love' by Ioannis Antoniadis

Greetings to all.

Another year came upon us, this time in quite a military marching fashion, don’t you think?

Maybe it's my overactive imagination, as I was told.

Thank God that my imagination isn’t bound only in this world. I believe that, among other things, an artist should use art as an escape pod to worlds of beauty, love, and harmony; at least, I do.

I was thinking lately that until recently my involvement as an educator of sorts in the world of art has been minimal, as my principal responsibility was to create art.

After a conversation I had with my daughter and the obvious limitations that old age brings, I decided to revisit the educational aspect of my career. Perhaps this is the moment to exert effort and effectively utilise the realisations, insights, knowledge, and personal experience I possess.

Although my personal education was not a walk in the park and required huge effort, I am eternally thankful for the opportunity to become a professional artist, the first in my family to achieve this. I am also grateful for this peculiar mind of mine that observed and questioned areas that only people with a privileged background and education could enter. Somehow, Grace always found a way for me to get my answers and discover solutions, making it possible for me to understand creativity from unique perspectives.

Since I received so much, I decided to put them to good use. My first action will be to organise them into a system that will be useful to first my students and then everyone who has decided to follow the creative path for whatever reason. For those who know me, you already have a taste of what I am talking about, and you also know what I am capable of if given the opportunity.

I'll be visiting Greece for a few weeks for a much-needed break, so I'll be spending a lot of time compiling my creative notes. I pray you all have a wonderful time. Spring is approaching quickly, so hold on, dear friends. I hope to see you all when I get back.

Ioannis
